E3 predictions Round 2

E3, the most magical week in gaming (before PAX Prime) is almost here and I thought I'll do another E3 prediction write-up for the Big 3 and add Bioware into the mix so w/o further delay, here's my 20 predictions.

PS: High chances of me updating predictions up-till E3.

My Microsoft Prediction(s) - Press Conference date/time -> Monday, June 6, 9:30 AM PDT

• Halo CE remake confirmed, crowd loses it's shit. ( we will just say yes.... for halo 4,5, and 6 )
• Getting a Timed Exclusive DLC that will look awesome.
• Lots of Kinect info, pie/bar charts and new upcoming games for it. ( Yes then no and then Yes again )
• Announced another extension to Xbox like (facebook,ESPN, etc) and leave you wondering..... Why? ( when you think about it, no.. Youtube, Live Tv, and the eh "from many ppl" of Bing is welcome. )
• To somehow be the baddest press conference for the 2nd straight year. ( I'm actually gonna say no but I wlll throw sony in the mix. They both focus on Kinect and Move/Vita a little to much to my liking. )

My Sony Prediction(s) - Press Conference date/time -> Monday, June 6, 5:00 PM PDT

• Sony to get Booed at the start unless they start out w/ their pitchman. ( Double no, He didn't even make an appearances )
• Sony to address their recent issues for like 3 mins. ( Probably more but yes, but don't make a joke out of it at the start on you conference. Just a slap in the face to the ppl that was effected by it.)
• Sony to get more support from Valve (like w/ Portal 2). ( Nope.avi ) 
• Reveal of Never heard Exclusive game.
• Even more Free giveaways on PSN! ( Nope )

My Nintendo Prediction(s) - Press Conference date/time -> Tuesday, June 7, 9:00 AM PDT

• "Project Cafe" will be equally powerful as the PS3 (It kinda looks like it so Plausible?)
• Release Date of New Zelda game ( all we got is This Year so nope )
• A WTF Moment not including the "New" Console ( Yes, many times, Ninja Gaiden 3 on Wii U for one )
• Star Fox finally makes a console return. The Space shooter, not that crap that is Star Fox Adventure. ( unfortunally nope )
• Best conference out of the big 3 again. ( Yes Yes and............. Yes )
• Online features to either be left out OR be like the PS3 in ways for "Project Cafe" ( their keeping that info for now so ??? )
• Xenoblade or/and The Last Story to comes to the west. ( I wish man )

• Mass Effect 3 will have multiplayer aspects like Fable 2 and 3
• Mass Effect 3 will also be 2 times as long as ME2
• Plans of what they will do to expand on the Mass Effect universe after the trilogy.
• Star Wars: The Old Republic will announced open beta (to do what RIFT did to perfection) but still no release date cause of beta.
• A "Here..Take my Money" game that Isn't Mass Effect,Dragon Age, nor SW: TOR.

And there are my predictions. You can watch G4TV's Live E3 Coverage on the 6th and for those who's on Direct TV (they gave G4 the boot this spring for.. you know why..) them along w/ IGN, Gametrailer, and more will be live streams on their respected sites. If you wanta chat while watching it, Justin.tv (gaming section) is the place to go since brodcasters will be streaming it as well.

E3 Prediction Ahoy! (UPDATE - All 3 Verdicts)

This is my E3 prediction special! Tho their is many to speak of, I'm breaking it down to the BIG 3. "M.S.N." Yea.... I'm clever am I. I wanted to get this out a week before E3 but unfortunately, stuff happens. I have a little fun w/ this so w/ that, enjoy the read.

The Future of Gaming: Control

Yes.. We heard these words thousands of time over the course of the history of Video Games but now, it can truly be said. Graphics are 1 thing that is always improving but what about how you play it.. Not so much. The Wii w/ it's Motion Controller and Wii Balanced Board bough an new way to play games by moving our hands, arms, and body w/ the controller.

Now Sony had introduce it's prototype motion controller at E3 and it was amazing demonstration of it w/ 1 to 1 movement ratio..



Some might call it a Wii rip off w/o cords but you be the judge of it.

Microsoft also brought out a the motion controller codename: Project Natal. This Hands Free controller requires just your body. No Controller, No Board. You are the controller.



Also to help demonstrate it was Lionhead Studio, the ppl who made Fable 1 and 2 and Black & White among others.



Yea, some might called it a beef up version of Sony's Eye Toy but again, you be the judge.

I imagine playing games like if you want to do a shrouken, I'll jump w/ my fist above my head or if i want to cast multiple of death balls from my hands, I'll move my hands forward and back lots of time. I also imagine playing a game that voice base, If I want you my squad member to rig a bomb w/o pausing the game and such, I'll point to the location I want it and say rig the bomb (character name here). Controling the way we interact is changing, this should be alot of fun for millions of ppl.

One more thing.. 2 Player Start did a comic on "The Endless Posiabilaty of Project Natal".. It's pretty funny. Check it out.

Ittttttt's E3 folks!! -- Day 2 --

Now that the BIG presentations have come to an end or at lease the one that was covered on G4TV, here's what I think.

Nintendo
1st of, let me start by saying what everyone was thinking when THISpop up on the screen... What The Fuck...

Anyways... You had little 2 much talky talky and tho you didn't do pie/bar charts, you still have to tell us about your sales crap. We don't care for that but you DID alot better then last year's E3 tank fest. Good to start out w/ New Super Mario Wii and make ppl think that's all the Mario their get on Wii that day. Beside the already known Wii Motion you had to demonstrate again, Teaming up w/ Team Ninja to make a new Metrodi Game is sexy
then drop the Super Mario Galaxy 2 (also knowned as "Ur Mr Gay" look it up if you don't get it) and I was like Wooo and Seeing Yoshi is back is also kool.



Other stuff like Golden Sun DS (love it), Wii Fit + (meh), and a New Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story DS game (Ok) are also mentioned... And as a side note, Shigeru Miyamoto wants to announced a NEW Zelda game at next year's E3. We hope so...

Sony
Oh Sonnnnnnnyyyyyy. Why you gone and put up a good showing. You start out Strong w/ Uncharted 2 and MAG 256 player Gameplay live. But before all that, ya say " we have the worst kept secret at E3" referring to the PSP Go. Good times to make fun of yourself =). After the Mag thing, You almost went into Ubisoft territory and talk and talk and talk but then you wipe out new stuff like GT5 for PSP Portable and PS3, MGS: Peace Keeper for PSP (lol at Video ending... 2 Snakes in a Box), a long video showing all the games coming to PS3. But one of the surprise was your LBP like game, Nod Nation Racer, Assassin's Creed 2 demo (why wasn't this done on Ubisoft presentation), Demo of your New Motion Control w/ Eye Toy. Put it in short, everyone wants a piece of the motion capture stuff but very nice demo to show it off. Then you end the show w/ exclusive games like Agent from Rockstar, FFXVI ONLINE cinematic vid, and an awesome God of War 3 Gameplay footage.



On a different note...
Steve Wiebe, you know, the guy from "The King of Kong: A Fist Full of Quarters" Documentary (if you didn't see it, you need to) about the Donkey Kong world record. He try to break the record live on G4's E3 stage all day. He end up just 60k shy of the record before getting the kill screen but despite all what happened leading up to it, he was then givened the Gaming Hall of Fame certificate and will be indicted w/ in a week. You gave it your all man and you'll break the record again soon.

E3 is here peeps and this will be short and sweat after watching all the conferences. (Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft)

MICROSOFT

You cut out the bullshit about sale # and pie and graphic charts and just got to what we want to hear. Bravo, maybe Nintendo can learn from that example. Presentation was very good cause it finally Showing that Alan Wake is not dead and showing gameplay video,

Crackdown 2 is announced, and once again, snatching the "exclusive" franchise from Sony in Metal Gear Solid (insert sony fanboy tears here) and getting a new game to boot but expect to be multi-platform. Also the unveiling of the rumor motion sensing camera code named "Project Natal" but as most were surprise to see theirs more to it then you think w/ voice recognition and more.

And Minor things like Facebook and "Tweet" coming to Xbox Live.. And Last.Fm and believe to be in sync w/ Xbox Live Gold Monthley Fee so you don't have to fuken pay for both. "I hope so man"

What next.... Steal/Ninja/Buyout God of War?? LBP?? Uncharted??

EA

An OK presentation.. Nothing really Special except......... Awesome Ending w/ Star Wars: KOTOR trailer and said to have voice for EVERY dialog. An MMORPG 1st.

UBISOFT

Not very good presentation till last 10-15 mins... Let me help you out by saying... 1st, Don't talk for 30 fuken mins about a 4 year long project and DON'T EVEN SHOW IT ONCE when you said there's a demo of it at E3 and proceed to tell basically the whole story. Who would I want to buy it if I know all that huh??! 2nd, if you got a video presentation coming up, make sure YOU HAVE IT UP BY THE TIME you finished the set up for it, not no late set up and you take up time by talking for 10 mins to get it running... Even worst was it came AFTER the 30 min long crap. Ok, rant over so yea, last mins were cool w/ new Splinter cell and Premier trailer for Assassians Creed 2.

1st Double Hidden blades, now a hidden gun. It just got more serious son.

It's pretty clear that MS has stole the show again but what will Sony and Nintendo have up their sleeves.
