My In-Game Music list for GW2

This is a sub post for Custom In-Game Music Option in Guild Wars 2 regarding what music I'll have playing so to get an ideal (or steal) of it.

I'll be going w/ In-game music for a while (ecept for main screen, that's day -3 "headstart") for up to maybe day one at the earliest and weeks after max level. Maybe even mix-match it w/ game music time to time. Anyways, here's my list. (Subject to Changes)

-- All are YouTube Link so to not have an abundances of vids and slowdown --

MainMenu - Mike B - Guild Wars 2 - Epic Struggle (Negative pH mix). Special mention to Two Steps From Hell - Birth of a Hero (Nero).

Battle - Two Steps From Hell - To Glory, Final Fantasy XIII - Blinded By LightTwo Steps From Hell - United We Stand Divided We Fall , Fairy Tail - Erza Theme AND BlazBlue - The Clash. ------  Special Mention to BlazBlue -Noel Vermillion's Theme - Bullet Dance but Erza's theme is just to good.

BossBattle - Nier - Gods Bound by RulesTwo Steps from Hell - Protectors of the Earth, AND Final Fantasy XIII Music - Saber's Edge. (Erza's Theme can also be put here)

NighTime - Two Steps From Hell - Nero, Final Fantasy XIII - Dust to Dust, Thomas Bergersen's - Aura AND Illusions. Simply put, Nero and Aura represent the beauty of the night while D2D and Illusions represent the sorrow of the night.

Underwater - Two Steps From Hell - DisappearTwo Steps From Hell - Ocean, AND Two Steps From Hell - Wrath Of Sea (UPDATE: Found 2 more)

_________________________________________________________________________________

You may be wondering where's the rest.
  • Ambient - I really like the in-game music for it so no changes anytime soon.
  • City - I though about adding Final Fantasy XII - Eruyt Village but decided not to. Probably if we are able to have 1 for each city.
  • Crafting - Ummmmmmmm.... Not Needed tho some funny stuff can be put on it. =P
My general theme of songs is to reflected the game's fell, Nero and Aura represent the beauty of the night while D2D and Illusions represent the sorrow of the night. Battles (when you fight 3+ mob/players) against waves of Centaurus while having To Glory playing. Fighting a world boss (let's say that HUGE ass dragon in the trailer) w/ like 50+ ppl while Protectors of the Earth Tyria playing making it more epic. I also threw in The Clash and Erza's Theme as to mix things up as Battle won't last as long most of the time.

Now you may be wondering why do this if the song plays for say 3 mins in a 4 min fight. All the songs beside The Clash lend themselves to be extended. All these are subject to adding Jeremy Soule's music from GW2 soundtrack. I might change before the 25th but if you want, post what songs you gonna do. Maybe I'll even consider adding it.

Till next time.

Custom In-Game Music Option in Guild Wars 2

Are you one of those people that boot up your iTunes or similar programs to have that epic boss battle music, chilling in the city, or exploring the sea floor? Well there's a not well known feature that will allow you to do such thing. You can have your own Music for the following, these names are Ambient, NighTime, Battle, BossBattle, Underwater, City, Crafting, and MainMenu.

For a quick how to, check out this How-To. (Might need to turn it up a tad)

You not limited to just one song on that playlist format so fell free to add how many you want. Just don't over do it w/ 100 songs.

Here's the benefit from this feature.

  • Your Personal Music and not having to back out of the game to changed said music.
  • More CPU due to not having Music Player open in background.
  • The in-game music automatically formats the music to fit in with other game sound effects while additional programs simply play over it.
  • ......
  • PROFIT!

Now I know that people are like "The GW2 Music is Godlike, why would you changed it". The simple answer is, My Music, My Way!

Now you know so tell your friends & family!

(Might put a few tunes I'll have playing for certain stuff in a new post so maybe you can copy get some ideals)

For the 100th time...

Luke, I am your farther and he welcomes you to the new look of of my blog.

1st off check out Don3Dimensions, a blog from a cool friend of mines in Donntae (What's Up!) not to mention he also writes on Examiner and his awesome 3D work so check it yo. He's also isn't afraid of anything.

Now for an update on my RPG Mania posted in December that I knocked down. I don't know what to really play atm since I'm trying to do and see alot of stuff at once so we'll see. Check the full list on the December post if you wondering what I'm talking about.

  • Mass Effect 2 ( Main character "Paragon", Insane Mode, Hopefully all major DLC ) DONE!
  • Eternal Sonata ( 3rd Play-through, Try to get rare items.......again ) DONE! then I sold it w/ other games for MvC 3
  • Torchlight ( 5th Character, Son of retire Alchemist Pet Master, get em to max lvl ) Lvl 71 atm.
  • Fallout 3 ( maybe?? Finished up the DLC game on main ) SOLD also!
  • Fable 2 ( Maybe?? Just to get 2 easy achievements, 2nd play-through ) also SOLD this.
  • Neverwinter Nights 2 - On Chapter 2

  •     Pax East is almost here but I'm not really looking for much game info beside Bioware's MMORPG SW:TOR since they said they will be big news about it. I'm excited about it but also keeping myself from being too hyped up. Starting today, you're now able to make your own guild so get your friends together and get on it. Now for what I'm hoping for Bioware to announced is Open Beta announcement, lots of gameplay footage/story, maybe release date "May the 4th be w/ you?" (quote from gamebreaker tv's fans) and system requirements. Speaking of that, I been in need of a new PC for like 2 years and here's how bad it is from best to worst in the family.
    1. Brother Alienware Gaming PC ($3000 + and kinda future proof I think)
    2. Mom's Touchscreen Media PC ( $900 + tho I think it was overpaid)
    3. Sister NEW HP Pavilion dv6-3025dx NoteBook ( $455 )
    4. My 6 year old Alienware Custom Gaming PC ( $3700 including the Monitor and a kick ass 5.1 Surround Sound at the time ... 1.0 GB of RAM and Memory)
    5. Dad PC originally the family PC over 10 years ago. It still got AOL on it. but he rarely use the PC anyways.
Yep... I have a long road ahead of me but it's in the planing stages. It's gonna be a Mainstream Gaming PC w/ price range around $1300 max. Now moving on to Music..

8BitCollective is an awesome site for chiptune music (and some other but all music involve a form of chiptune). I urge you to check out the Music of Last Week 1st which is the top view and like and It updates every sunday. You can also check the latest and search for specific artist or/and song. You don't pay anything and don't need to make an account either so w/ that said, let me start you off on some below.
So this pretty much wraps up #100 tho not a big deal by any means but thank for visiting me blog here even if it was an accident, thx you to.

Also, I'm Winning!.... < insert troll face here >

PS: Here's a Insanely Awesome clip.. Please Enjoy!

Now you asking what surgeries? Let just say my mouth got mess up to the point that I will be toothless ( thx virus and myself ). It will be the final phase and that will cost almost 3 grand so........... yea.....anyways on to other stuff...

December has been awesome for me in terms of games cause currently I got 15 games for 12$.. It includes The Witcher, Super Meat Boy, Braid, World of Goo (again) and the Deux Ex Collection. Shoutouts to Steam and Crazy Gabe. ( PS - The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is freaken 50 cents on Steam right now.... I did think about returning to the drug that is WoW for a tad but, I'll have to go through alot of stuff just to get my account back all because I forgot a password since I changed it. That or/and the fact that hacker might have broken in. FML I guess.

I also am now on Raptr.com. I might do a small write up on it but for now, you can see my profile here.

So as I chill w/ the family, I'll just be happy that we are all under one roof for this winter; and if I can get 1300$ as a bonus.. =)

That all I wanted to type sooooooooooo Happy Holidays to all and to all, punch your face in.

PS: I added the Like, So-so, Dislike Feature. I'll be under every post.

    Game Music Week -- Thursday

Since I miss Wednesday's post get ready for double Thursday so w/ that said..

Let's Get Super....Mario.... SMG has some awesome music and I have 2 of them for you.
Gusty Garden (Galaxy) had simple sounds but it just fell like you're on an adventure and well, you are.

Now you should (if you played it) know how EPIC the final boss music is. It's one of those "One of us isn't walking out alive" tunes; only sad part the fight was not epic for this music. Anyways, enjoy it lady and germs.

    Game Music Week -- Tuesday

Going old school on ya. Sonic & Knuckles had some kickass music and the Flying Battery Zone (act 2) among them. When I 1st heard it back in the day, it was just bad ass not to mention I like the stage as well. Enjoy it as I have through out the years.

    Game Music Week -- Monday

Final Fantasy is well-known for having great music and FF13 is no exception. Dust to Dust is one of those songs that just chilling yet it pores it soul onto you.

I remember when Fang and Vanille talk about their home throughout the game making me think that after their long absent, their will be fill w/ ancestors that remember them. Once you arrived it just breath-taking to see what their home has become.

    Love/Hate/So-So? Drop a comment in.

    Nov 14, 2010

    Game Music Week -- Sunday

No More Heroes is an awesome game w/ sweet music but "We Are Finally Cowboys" was just pure awesome and set the tone for the "REAL" final battle against Henry .  (I won't spoiled it if you never play it but if ya want to know, just highlight it.)

Love it/Hate it? Drop a comment!

    Heads Up for...... Tails?

Hello to ya.. Bet ya wandering why the blog/site been inactive for months. Long Story short, stuff in life happens, constant surgeries and me having to adapt after each , $ problems and morrrrrrrrreeeeeee.

Anyways........ Starting Sunday or Monday, I'll be posting 1 game music each day for a week. This won't be a personal favorite cause that will take forever and I won't be doing remixes. So there ya have it but I guess I can post this remix from MOTHER 3 - F-F-Fire. If you haven't play Mother 3, you owe yourself to play it GDI.

The One Feature I would Welcome but...

Ya know about the Xbox Update soon to arrive in November? Well I been excited for one of the new feature; Facebook on 360 is meh and lol at Twitter (unless you a game company or see Money $avings deals on games you want) then it's ok. The one I'm talking about is Last.FM. Stephen Totilo from Kotaku posted vids of all 3 features but let's talk about Last.FM quickly.

So here's what it have and not have. (NOTE: You have to already have an account or make one on Last.fm. to work on Xbox)
    • Your Pick from Thousands of Music,Artists,Albums, and game related. (Like Legend of Zelda or Nobuo Uematsu.
    • Play Many Music Genders from Hip Hop, Rock, and METAL! (sorry had to cap that)
    • On Play, You see many cool or/and funny portrait (not all the time) of the artist or group while the music is playing.
    • Able to run Last.FM in the background while still on Last.FM (maybe you don't like those pictures or want to see more music options)
    • NOT able to run Last.FM in the background of Xbox Live (Noooooooooooooooooo)
Wait... I'm Not gonna be able to run it w/ other games. Major Bummer man. Would Like to kill fools and suckers in Fallout 3 while listening to Killswitch Engage but. Ahh man..

Yea so maybe I won't be using Last.FM all that much on Xbox but I got something that I been using to hold me over called TVersity (I can Stream actual radio stations on it) or a Computer. Anyways, If you'll like to see the vids and preview Stephen Totilo did, look below.

Xbox 360 Update Hands-On: Facebook And Twitter

    and

    Xbox 360 Update Hands-on: Last.FM In Action

I might get into telling you all about TVersity but it's not guarantee. Tell Then Pimps!

Music Wars - Last.fm Vs Imeem Vs Pandora

(UPDATE -- Imeem Merge in to the fuckfest that is called MySpace... This be a sad day but I'll leave it up if you want to read it.. January, 29,2010)

This is my opinion so yea... Getting that out their now.

The 3 Sites I'm gonna judge have many stuff in common like "create playlists" and differences like "ability to upload new music on the site". I signed up and try out all 3 of these sites. Here's what I think.

    Last.fm
I have to say off the bat I'm digging the site looks over the others.

Anyways, The Good. It haves a deep list of artists and records and remixes. Theirs also the great layout of your page from what you listen to xx amount of time to seeing every music or group you played in a library of what exact song you heard. You can download your play list to play on your desktop music player of your choice.

The Ok... Groups and nice people.

The Bad... Depending on your taste, certain songs will only have 30 secs samples. That in terms hurts your library of music. Wish it has a pause button (you know, that song you in the middle of singing and an important call comes up).

    Imeem
Alright. I has this site the longest out of the others by maybe 2.5 years.

The Good... A deep list of artist and records and tons of remixes for your pleasure.
The ability to upload music/music video to the site for all to see (if u wish).

The Ok... Decent profile page; kinda of a cross between My Space and Facebook w/ customizable background and stuff.

The Bad... Can also suffer from songs having only a 30 secs sample (even when it was previously a full song) but the owner or site can update the song to play fully. That can take days, weeks, or months. Only 1 mobile phone app for this site while others have at lease 3.

    Pandora
A Nice site is a good thing but it's alot different from the others. This is basically a custom radio station site.

The Good... Multi mobile phone support. Sign in and immediately listen to the song, artist, or last station you was playing before you log. You can see what other music the artist made for that album and see the song lyrics and more.

The Ok... Nice and simple profile page.

The Bad... Can only skip 5 songs an Hour?!?! What da hell man =(.

So the best site of the 3 for me atlease is Imeem while Last.fm close behind. Reason I choose Imeem is that you can find just about ANY music from the rare to the odd, something the other 2 sites don't have; and if u absolutely can't find it, then find it and upload it on the site. =)

Don't get me wrong tho. I'll use all 3 but just don't expect me to be on Pandora alot, It'll be either Last.fm or Imeem. Fell free to send friend invite.

My Last.fm Profile || My Imeem Profile || My Pandora Profile

    Oh... And Happy Easter!!
